..

Stephanie Cecil
I have served on Southbourne parish council for the past 8 years where I was on the planning and recreation committees. I helped secure Maybush Copse as community land and I am a member of Maybush Copse management committee where I also join the working parties to help maintain the copse as a place of local enjoyment.
Since the boundary change, I naturally want to continue serving my local community, if elected I will endeavour to do this by
• making sure a female voice is firmly heard on the parish council
•continuing to play an active part in the community
..

Andy Collins
Have lived in Hambrook for 30 years.
Married with two children and four grandchildren.
Director of my own engineering business but retiring slowly.
Currently the Chairman of the Neighbourhood Plan Working Group, which is nearing completion, under the current Parish Council of which I am a member and Vice Chairman.
Worked on both the Parish Plan and the proposed New Village Centre.
Was Chairman of the Hambrook District Residents Association and still an active committee member.
I have also produced the Newsletter’s for both the Parish Council and HDRA.

Arthur Cooper

..

Geoffrey Hyde
For the first thirty years of his working life Geoffrey pursued a successful career in the Army that for some years included responsibility for running a self-contained community of 12,000 men women and children.
In 1991 he and his family settled into Chidham where his wife established a picture-framing business. Shortly thereafter Geoffrey took on a new career as the European head of an international crisis management practice, counselling multinational clients and providing pro bono support to the “Save St Richards” campaign.
Now that he has almost completely retired he welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the further development of the Chidham and Hambrook community.
..

Rod Isted
I have lived in Nutbourne for the past 44 years with my wife and three children. I am a Chartered Engineer and have served for many years with the County Council and private sector. In earlier years, I have been a governor at Chidham Primary school and have chaired the PTFA. I spent the next 25 years as the Chairman of the Chidham & Hambrook Village Hall, before recently retiring. I believe that the Village Hall is at the heart of the community and with the hall refurbishment programme half completed, I am proud to see what the community has achieved by all working together.
..

Barry Leighton
Barry Leighton was elected to the Parish Council in November 2013. He and his family have lived in Nutbourne for forty years and Barry has been very active in the Parish throughout that time despite 36 years in the Royal Navy before joining the teaching staff of Bishop Luffa School 10 years ago.
Barry’s current main focus is the full integration of Nutbourne East into Chidham & Hambrook. He also has special responsibility for Maybush Copse and an obvious interest in the school and safety issues surrounding it. Speed Indicator Devices in Broad Road also fall within his remit.
..

Ina Littlefield
I moved to Hambrook in 1969 on my marriage to my late husband, Ken. I have always joined in and helped with local activities and am currently a member of Chidham WI.
I was co-opted onto the Parish Council in July 2013 and soon found myself as a member of three Working Groups:- Neighbourhood Plan; Planning Applications; Ditches/Footpaths. My aim is to ensure that the PC is aware of parishioners’ views, meets their current needs and considers their aspirations. I feel that in the short time I have been a Councillor, I have made a positive contribution to the Council’s work and would like the opportunity to carry on in this role.
..

Philip MacDougall
I can bring both new blood and a wealth of experience to the parish council. A resident of Nutbourne, I served on Southbourne parish council but worked successfully to ensure that Nutbourne became part of Chidham & Hambrook . If elected I will
•  Ensure that the district councillors elected for Nutbourne are fully accountable to the parish council.
•  Support the present Village Hall (Main Road) and not the construction of an expensive alternative –money could be better spent elsewhere in the parish.
•  Help speed along the Neighbourhood plan using my experience as a former Southbourne councillor.
..

Jacky Sheppard
-have lived in Nutbourne East for 28 years and now with boundary change feel that I belong to a community and wish to contribute to the enhancement of its resources and facilities.
32 years professional service in the NHS
member of Village Hall Committee
member of the Film Society and help with Annual Open Air Cinema
support local initiatives, such as Maybush Copse
if elected I would work to rationalise/reduce speed limit through the village
improve safety at the junction Cot Lane/Main Road and Broad Road
strongly oppose development in our AONB, i.e. Maybush Orchard
..

Jane Towers
Since moving to Chidham I have been actively involved in the community . I am on the Village Hall Management Committee, help to run the Film Society and am on the Maybush Copse Friends Management Committee .I have been a Governor at Chidham School for six years establishing the Eco Group and am working to improve safer routes to school. If elected I would work towards improving the environment, upgrading cycle routes, lowering the speed limit through Chidham, supporting the creation of recreational facilities and opposing further developments within the Parish to make it a desirable place to live for all its residents.
..

Linda Wilkinson
I am currently a member of the parish council, and sit on the planning sub committee. I am also part of the Parish Neighbourhood Plan group. I enjoy both of these positions as I like to think my input is advantageous to the quality of the parish, especially at the present time when developers are trying to flood the parish with more and more, unwanted houses. I have always been a village person so wish to preserve, and hopefully enhance, the village atmosphere we have today.
