Bring your own picnic and, we suggest, something to sit on/blanket. Bring your friends – it is a FREE event. We will provide gentle entertainment and community games. There will be real live Owls, KTROO, rides, Tug’o’war, the Ukulele band and more. And the sun will shine. We are celebrating Maybush Copse – 10 years of community effort and pleasure (with nature doing the really difficult stuff).
Come and help tidy up Maybush Copse ahead of the Big Picnic. Cut back vegetation. All welcome. Wear Gloves, stout footwear, and bring tools eg shears, loppers, weeders, if you can.
Meet your Parish, District and County Councillors. Find out what has been going on in the Parish. An opportunity to raise your concerns. Also a presentation from Sarah Hughes, Chichester District Council Community Wildlife Officer on wildlife corridors. There will be light refreshments. Agenda
The work is to improve highway drainage in order to avoid rainwater ponding and freezing on Cot Lane outside Pinewood in winter. Ice has been a problem for pedestrians and vehicles alike for several years at this location. The Parish Council has obtained funding for the work and appointed B&M Plant Hire Ltd as the contractor. The revised date they intend to start work on is 17th June but external factors may again make it necessary to change the start date. The work will take a few days.
