Work party – a Spring Clean for the Copse with the encouragement of cake and other refreshments for the workers. Various tasks – cutting back vegetation, raking grass cuttings, removal of teazles from the grassy areas. Fill in the rabbit-dug trip hazards! Bring appropriate tools if you can.
Don’t feel you have to stay for two hours. Come for an hour and then move on to St Wilfrid’s for the Plant Sale.

Plant and cake sale – Get Spring off to a good start by finding your ideal garden or house plants grown by local people. Try our home-made soup and rolls, or just enjoy tea/coffee and cake. Have a go at the raffle and Plant quiz. In aid of the Church.
This Sunday is Father Paul’s last Sunday Service. Everyone is welcomed to the 10am service of Holy Communion in St Mary’s, with refreshments afterwards.

In a departure from our usual screenings we have decided to do something a little bit different……. Billy Elliot the Musical Live is a 2014 British filmed version of Elton John’s Billy Elliot the Musical (2005), which in turn was based on the 2000 film Billy Elliot. Stephen Daldry directed both the original film and the 2014 musical adaptation.
Set in a northern town during the miners’ strike of 1984/5, the show follows Billy’s journey from boxing ring to ballet class where he discovers a passion for dance that unites his family, inspires his community and changes his life forever. Brought to life by the award-winning creative team behind the film and featuring iconic music by Elton John, Billy Elliot is an extraordinary theatrical experience that has captivated audiences around the world.
