Marking the 100th Anniversary of the ending of WW1 – Saturday 3rd November, St Mary’s Church 10.30am – 5pm

An exhibition commemorating the lives of those on our War Memorial. Discover their stories, find out more about who they were and the part they played in the war.
There will be exhibits, contemporary music and poetry. Refreshments. Entry is free. The majority of the exhibition will remain in St Mary’s for two weeks until Friday 16th November.

Review of the Neighbourhood Plan

The District Council Local Plan is currently undergoing a review. As a consequence the Chidham & Hambrook Parish Council have agreed to review our Neighbourhood Plan. A working group will carry out this work. To form the group, we need a mix of Parish Councillors and members of the local community with people from all parts of the Chidham & Hambrook. Film Club, Friday Oct 19th, 7.30pm for 8pm “Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Club”

In the aftermath of World War II, a writer forms an unexpected bond with the residents of Guernsey Island when she decides to write a book about their experiences during the war. A  story of love, friendship and the sadness of friends lost. Starring Lily James.

Sat Nov 3rd, 10.30 – 5pm. An Exhibition commemorating the lives of those on our WW1 war memorial. Exhibits, contemporary music and poetry from the time, and other events during the day. . Entry free, but donations to be shared between the British Legion and Church welcomed. The Exhibition will remain in St Mary’s for two weeks until Friday Nov 16th.
There will be a special Remembrance Service on Sunday Nov 11th starting at 10.30am.
