Farms: Please do bear in mind that apparently quiet farmland areas are busy and important businesses.
Please: Stay on the footpath or the bridleway – for social distancing just look ahead for others using the right of way. You may need to pause in a wider area in order to allow 2 metres between you.
Keep dogs on a lead: Even well behaved dogs will chase or attack livestock. Each owner has been very shocked and none ever thought that their dog could attack.
Take notice of any ‘Private’ signs: Some farm residents are self-isolating and have signage indicating their need for this. Farm residents have the right to maintain social distancing on their private property, so please do abide by any ‘Private’ signs.
The public are asked not to use sky lanterns in the weekly tribute to NHS workers because of safety and environmental fears. Animal charities, farmers and the emergency services say the items pose a risk to property and wildlife.
Though sky lanterns might look pretty in the sky, they pose a serious danger to horses, farm animals and wildlife. Not only are they a serious fire hazard, animals can suffer through ingestion, entanglement and entrapment, or simply the sight of a lit lantern in the sky can be terrifying for them and cause them to bolt and harm themselves.

Friday April 3rd. There are local reports of some petty thefts from cars parked in driveways overnight. It may be that some of the cars were left unlocked. Make sure you lock your car, and leave nothing of any value in your car.
