The developer who wanted to build 10 houses at Chas Wood Nursery off the Main Rd, previously refused, has launched and appeal. Does the developer accept that his plans are unacceptable, or is he about to launch Plan B? Watch this space.

Published in the Chichester Observer today, the Chichester District draft review of the local plan, incorporating the Chichester District Council preferred approach, will be considered by the CDC Cabinet on Nov 14th. Chidham & Hambrook will be expected to take additional housing, ‘a minimum of 500 homes’. It is anticipated that the land for the additional houses will be identified in the revised Neighbourhood Plan that the Parish Council has agreed to undertake. Apart from the additional houses in Chidham & Hambrook, and in addition to homes in other parts of the district, the plan proposes 1250 in Southbourne parish, and 250 in Bosham (Highgove Farm). The plan will go before the full CDC Council before the end of November and then go out for public consultation for 8 weeks starting in mid December.
